RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Day shift position from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* Open to 36 or 48 hours per week
* Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
* Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
* Coordinate care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment
* Collect and analyze relevant patient data to determine diagnosis and care issues
* Develop and implement care plans, coordinate care delivery, and employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment
* Evaluate progress toward attaining patient outcomes and identify outcomes for patients or their situations
* Collaborate with patients, family members, and healthcare providers to deliver care in a safe, healing, humane, and caring environment
* Provide health information and learning opportunities to patients, families, and treatment team members
* Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
* Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members
* Minimum two years of recent RN experience required
* EPIC experience required
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
* Acute care facility experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS (from approved vendor per AH policy) and AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in state of practice required
