Opportunity:

Medical Surgical Registered Nurse

Job Details:

* 4x12 day shift schedule (48-hour weeks)
* Patient ratio of 1:7 using a team nursing model with support from PCC, LPN, and other staff
* On-call required as needed
* Weekend coverage required as needed
* Weekend block schedule may be considered and must be discussed during interview
* Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience required; 3+ years preferred
* Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
* Large hospital experience preferred
* Must have completed at least 1 prior travel assignment
* EPIC experience preferred
* Traveler must live at least 100 miles from the facility
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of application
* Driver's license must be included with submission
* If assignment includes end-of-year holidays, traveler must be willing to work 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if all three fall during the assignment, or at least 1 of 2 holidays if only 2 fall during the assignment
* RNs may be floated between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius
* Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include general medical-surgical conditions
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and more
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry
* Active RN license in the state or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines required
