Opportunity:
RN - Electrophysiology
Job Details:
* 13-week contract position
* Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
* No weekend requirements
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience working as an RN in Electrophysiology (EP) required
* RN License required
* BLS certification required
* EPIC charting system experience required
* Any color scrubs accepted
* Required cardiac cath lab procedure skills: pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction/removal and Watchman procedure
* Required electrophysiology procedure skills: arrhythmia induction, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, conduction studies, insertion/programming of AICDs, left atrial appendage (LAA) closure, and pacemaker insertion
* Required medication knowledge: antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and thrombolytics
* Required professional skills: cardioversion, interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, and obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG
* Strong patient education skills, especially around lifestyle and medication adherence
* Experience in quality improvement initiatives preferred
* Familiarity with GLP-1 therapies in AFib management preferred
* Experience in risk factor modification clinics or device clinics preferred
* Background in cardiac step down unit, cardiac telemetry, or cardiac ICU is a plus

This Heart & Vascular Clinic specializes in comprehensive cardiac and electrophysiology care, offering a wide range of advanced procedures for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions. The facility provides interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, phlebotomy, and unit secretarial support, and serves patients requiring general cardiology, interventional, electrophysiology, and heart failure care.
