Job Details:
* Work 3x12-hour shifts with shift times of 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM or 11:00 AM - 11:30 PM
* Required case types include CVOR, spine, orthopedics, vascular, general surgery, and robotics
* XI robotics experience preferred
* Facility operates 20 OR rooms with 40-50 cases per day
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required
* Weekend shifts required on an as-needed basis
* On-call required as needed
* Floating within scope required as needed; no floating to sister facilities
* Block scheduling not available
* Required certifications: BLS and NBSTSA
* Charting system: Epic (Excellian)
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Required work setting experience: CVOR, General OR, Hybrid OR
* Required cardiovascular case skills: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atrial Septal Defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), Mitral Valve Replacement, Pericardial Window, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)
* Required vascular case skills: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Arteriovenous Fistula repair, Carotid Angioplasty, Carotid Artery Stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft, Laparoscopic Assisted Cases, TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair), Vein Stripping
* Required thoracic case skills: Laparoscopic Assisted Cases, Lung Resection - Thoracotomy, VATS
* Required professional knowledge and skills: Aseptic Technique, Isolation Precautions, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/Labeling, Sterilization/Disinfection, Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure
Facility:
This acute care teaching hospital operates 317 staffed beds and holds a Level 3 trauma designation. The surgical services department includes 20 operating rooms handling 40-50 cases per day, covering a broad range of specialties including cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, and robotic surgery. The facility utilizes Epic (Excellian) for charting and provides scrubs to clinical staff.
