L&D Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position in Labor & Delivery
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for all shifts including nights and weekends
* 4-6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
* 15-bed/room Labor & Delivery unit
* Scrubs provided
* First time travelers welcome
* Minimum 2 years of experience required, 3 years preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications accepted)
* Skills required include: antepartum care, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, circulating for C-sections, recovering C-section patients, insulin drips, isolation precautions/PPE, maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC), sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, and use of external fetal heart monitoring (EFM)
* Patient age groups include neonates and adults
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* May be required to float to like units within scope based on facility needs

This facility operates a 15-bed Labor & Delivery unit delivering between 100-200 births per month. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services, ensuring comprehensive care for both mothers and neonates. The facility is equipped to handle high-risk deliveries and provides a collaborative environment for nursing professionals.
