Job Details:

* Patient ratios of 1:2 during days, nights, and weekends
* Weekend shifts required
* On-call required
* Float within scope to Med Surg to meet facility needs
* Block scheduling available
* Guaranteed hours provided
* Minimum 1.5-2 years of ICU experience required
* Travel experience required
* Community hospital experience required
* LTAC experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, ISTAT
* Meditech charting experience preferred
* Oklahoma or compact license required
* Must be comfortable treating adolescent and adult patient populations
* Patient diagnoses include COPD, vascular surgeries (AAA, carotid, heart caths), general surgeries, respiratory failure, DM, DKA, HTN, Afib, cardiac arrhythmias, urosepsis, multisystem organ failure, and sepsis
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, assist with chest tube insertion/removal, blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, chronic/acute renal failure management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, GI surgery, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), infection prevention, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, phlebotomy, PICC line management, post cardiac surgery care, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, sheath removal, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning (ETT, NT), surgical intensive care unit, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD)
* Special equipment used includes Phillips monitors, ultrasound, Glidescope, Rotobeds, arterial/CVP monitors, Alaris pumps, and ETco2 monitoring
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary

This community hospital features a 9-bed intensive care unit with a daily census of 4 patients, providing specialized critical care services for adolescent and adult populations. The unit is equipped with advanced medical technology and supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams.
