Job Details:

* Medical Assistant role within a Physiatry clinic setting
* 5 x 8-hour day shifts
* No weekend shifts required
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* MA-C or MA-R certification required (MA-R will be endorsed by a provider at the clinic)
* BLS certification required
* Experience working with disabled adults highly preferred
* Physiatry experience preferred
* Experience with EPIC highly preferred
* Must have own reliable transportation
* Position is temp to perm - candidate must complete a 13-week contract and be open to transitioning to a full-time role at the end of the contract
* May float within scope of skillset as needed
* Approximately 10 patient visits per day across 14 rooms
* Adult patient population only
* Skills required include: authorization forms, chart preparation, height/weight measurements, labeling of specimens, obtaining vital signs, positioning/draping, pulse oximetry, recording history/medications/allergies, rooming patients, scheduling appointments, suture removal, and wound care
* Interpretation services available as interdisciplinary support

Facility:

This outpatient Physiatry clinic offers a comprehensive range of specialized services including nerve conduction studies (NCS), EMG electromyography diagnostic testing, and Botox injections for pain management. The facility serves as a Center of Excellence for ALS and operates an Amputee Clinic, Wound Clinic, and MDA Care Center. The clinic utilizes EPIC for charting and is equipped to support patients who may require physical assistance due to handicap or disability.
