Inpatient SLP Days

Job Details:

* Day shift position in an inpatient setting
* Work with a speech caseload of 10-14 patients between acute and rehab units
* 18-bed rehabilitation unit with an average daily census of 8-9 rehab patients
* Treatment sessions are 45 minutes in length
* Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
* Patient diagnoses include stroke, Parkinson's, other neurological conditions, swallowing deficits, and cognitive deficits
* Complete evaluations and treatments for rehab patients with swallowing, language, and cognitive deficits
* Required skills include acute care, dysphagia, bedside swallow evaluation, modified barium swallow studies, Passy Muir valves, trach/vent, and patient/family education
* Charting system experience required; Epic charting system used
* May be expected to float to like units within scope of practice based on facility needs
* 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS
* Valid Kansas SLP license required and must be in hand at time of submission
