Job Details:

* Every other weekend required
* Float within service line and scope of practice as needed
* Staffing ratio of 1:4-5 on all shifts
* Treat patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* See all patients presenting to the Emergency Department including those with chief complaints such as chest pain, shortness of breath, respiratory issues, mental health evaluations, OB/GYN emergencies, sepsis, stroke, abdominal pain, sprains, strains, fractures, trauma, and cardiac arrest
* Combined adult and pediatric ED experience required
* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* Michigan nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Epic charting experience required
* Medication system: Pyxis
* Scrub color: Navy
* No local travelers within 50 miles accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
* Required skills include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, central line care and management, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, CVA management, neuro-trauma, traumatic brain injury, ortho-trauma, head injury, CPAP/BiPAP management, interpretation of ABGs, care of ventilated patients, gunshot wounds, isolation precautions and PPE, and triage

Facility:

This rural hospital operates a 27-bed Emergency Department and serves as a Primary Stroke Center while seeking Trauma IV designation. The facility provides 24/7 board-certified emergency department providers, charge nurses, triage nurses, and house supervisor coverage. The ED includes two designated resuscitation rooms, four dedicated mental health preferred rooms, and a SANE dedicated room with forensic nurse on call. Interdisciplinary support services include physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretarial support.
