Opportunity:

RN - PCU (Ren 7 Acute)

Job Details:

* Mixed unit position covering PCU, Med Surg Tele, and Med Surg
* Patient ratio of 1:4 on all shifts
* Weekend requirement: every other weekend; night shift weekends are Friday and Saturday, day shift weekends are Saturday and Sunday
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
* Epic charting experience required
* Scrub color: Navy or White
* Floating required within service line and between Toledo, Flower, Bay Park, and Wildwood facilities as needed
* Float units include: Neuro/Stroke, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Trauma, Oncology, General Surgery, Uro/Vascular, and Observation
* Block scheduling not available
* Requested time off greater than 7 days requires management approval
* Schedules are subject to change with two-weeks notice
* Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include: Renal, Urology, and Vascular conditions
* Special procedures include: CAPD and CBI
* Work setting: Telemetry
* Required skills include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, peripheral line care and management, renal failure management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, and Heparin Protocols (preferred)
* Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management preferred
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy
* No local travelers within 50-mile radius
* Pending Ohio license accepted; Michigan license must be in hand
* Two references from within the last 24 months required
* Parking is free

The hospital operates a 39-bed unit and offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
