Job Details:

* Labor and Delivery unit caring for patients including labor, induction, preeclampsia, TOLAC, VBAC, multiples, preterm labor, antepartum, and high-risk antepartum cases
* Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
* Must be open to working weekends - may exceed every other weekend to meet unit need
* Required to work 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
* Float required to Mother Baby unit
* No on-call required
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period (guaranteed hours)
* 36 orientation hours
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; 1.5 years is a hard stop
* AWHONN Advanced certification is a hard stop requirement - must have a passing designation
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, BLS, NRP
* Epic charting system experience required
* Must be able to perform sterile vaginal exams independently without supervision - hard stop requirement
* Triage experience is a hard stop requirement
* Must be comfortable performing skills including but not limited to: amnioinfusion, antepartum care, Cesarean section support, circulating and scrubbing for C-sections, epidural anesthesia management, external and internal fetal monitoring, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, postpartum hemorrhage management, newborn assessment, triage of obstetrical patients, and wound assessment/care
* Scrubs provided for L&D
* Charting system: Meditech
* Free parking available
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process prior to start
* Scheduling preferences may be considered but are not guaranteed; requests due to additional employment will not be considered
* All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal

Facility:

This acute care hospital operates a dedicated Labor and Delivery unit with 15 beds across 13 rooms and two operating rooms available for surgical deliveries. The facility supports a full interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries. The unit serves neonates, adolescents, and adult patients and maintains a strong commitment to high-quality maternal and newborn care.
