Opportunity:

LVN - Outpatient

Job Details:

* 8-hour shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM
* Possibly 1 weekend per month to assist the Urgent Care location if needed
* Floating required; on-call not required
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* 2 years of experience in an outpatient setting required
* Active California LVN license with valid CA IV certification required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC only), IV & Blood Withdrawal
* Phlebotomy and IV start skills required
* Support physicians and nursing staff in the delivery of health care by performing patient care assessments and medically related tasks
* Perform initial nursing intake and prepare patients for examination
* Review current medications and documents in the medical record prior to patient examination
* Record patient information including vital signs and reason for visit
* Administer prescribed medications, injections, or IV medications using best practice
* Set up exam and procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needs
* Serve patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Skills required include: blood glucose monitoring, phlebotomy, EKG/ECG, wound care, vaccine administration, telephone triage, foley catheter insertion, vital sign monitoring, medication reconciliation, oxygen administration, and pain assessment & management

Facility:

This facility is a large outpatient primary care clinic environment with a daily census of approximately 350 patients. The facility operates in an ambulatory care setting and supports a multidisciplinary team of physicians and nursing staff. The clinic also maintains an associated Urgent Care location, providing comprehensive outpatient services to a diverse patient population.
