L&D Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend required
* Float to Postpartum as needed based on facility needs
* 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
* Valid KS or Compact RN license required at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN, NRP - must be in hand at time of submission
* AWHONN Advanced and FHM certifications preferred
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Care for patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
* Provide care for laboring patients including high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes for gestations 34 weeks 0 days and greater
* Perform and assist with C-sections and External Cephalic Versions
* Manage OB Triage, Postpartum, and Level 2 Special Care Nursery patients
* Administer and manage Magnesium Sulfate therapy, Pitocin, Prostaglandins, and other medications
* Use and manage External and Internal Fetal Monitoring equipment and IUPC placement
* Perform neonatal resuscitation and newborn assessments
* Provide breastfeeding and lactation support, discharge teaching, and car seat education to patients and families

Facility:

This facility operates a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit that includes OB Triage, Postpartum, and a Level 2 Special Care Nursery. The unit provides comprehensive obstetric care for a wide range of patient needs, from routine labor and delivery to complex high-risk pregnancies, supported by an interdisciplinary team and advanced medical equipment.
