Job Details:

* Night shift position in Labor & Delivery
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Every other weekend requirement with 12 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 1:3 for days, nights, and weekends
* 11-bed LDRP unit providing couplet care
* Most newborns will room in with parents as couplet care is provided
* Candidate must be able to care for laboring patients, couplet care, and triage
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
* Required skills include: assisting with vaginal delivery, cesarean section, couplet care, infant identification, labor & delivery, LDRP, mother/baby, newborn assessment, newborn hypoglycemia, phototherapy, C-section recovery, thermoregulation, triage of obstetrical patients, breastfeeding/lactation support, and circumcision assessment
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
* Travelers may be expected to float to like units within their scope based on facility needs

This facility operates an 11-bed LDRP unit that provides comprehensive labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care. The unit emphasizes family-centered care with most newborns rooming in with parents and offers full couplet care services. Interdisciplinary support is readily available including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and interpretation services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
