Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with 6:45 AM starts, with occasional float to 8:45 AM and 10:45 AM starts
* Schedule includes Saturday, Sunday, and one variable weekday based on staffing needs each week
* Must work 3 night shifts per assignment
* Weekend coverage required
* No on-call requirements
* 13-week contract length
* Option for 48-hour schedule available
* Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
* No guaranteed hours
* 1:1 patient ratio
* 3 years of OR experience required - no first-time travelers accepted
* Travel experience required
* Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center experience required (hard stop)
* Epic charting system experience required (hard stop)
* Required case types: General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastics (hard stops)
* Must be able to circulate emergent craniotomy
* Ability to scrub spine from a Level 1 Trauma Center is highly preferred
* Helpful experience includes CT, TX, burn, orthopedics, sports medicine, hand/foot/ankle, and vascular (not required)
* May float to other OR units within the same health system as needed
* Adults patient population
* Daily census of 90-110 patients across 38 rooms
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, interpretation services, and transportation
* Required certifications: AHA BLS
* Colorado RN license or Compact RN license required
* Required skills include but are not limited to: abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, craniotomy, lumbar fusion, trauma, Whipple procedure, laparoscopic assisted cases, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, thyroidectomy, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, tracheostomy, and more

Facility:

This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center featuring a large 41-OR surgical unit that handles every type of surgical procedure. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, interpretation services, and patient transportation. With a daily census of 90-110 patients across 38 operating rooms, this is a high-volume, fast-paced environment offering exposure to a wide range of complex surgical cases.
