Job Details:
* Labor & Delivery RN position with self-scheduling
* 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
* No on-call required
* No floating between units
* 48-hour shifts approved
* Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 15-room unit serving adolescent and adult patient populations
* Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
* Epic charting system experience required (EPIC HARDSTOP REQUIREMENT)
* Scrub color: Navy for all RNs
* Free parking available in any unrestricted space
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
* Required skills include: administration of blood & blood products, antepartum care, antihypertensives, APGAR scores, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, cesarean section, circulating for C-section, epidural anesthesia, hemorrhage/shock management, labor & delivery, magnesium sulfate therapy, neonatal resuscitation, Pitocin (oxytocin), postpartum hemorrhage, pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, recovering C-section patients, starting and maintaining IVs, sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, use of external and internal fetal monitoring, use of infusion pumps/drips/IV monitoring, vaginal delivery, and VBAC management
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

This facility is a Children's Hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 total staff beds. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and interpretation services, ensuring high-quality care across all patient populations.
