Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Work 36 hours per week with rotating weekends
* Contract labor is first to float to like units
* Patient ratio of 1:7 on a 40-bed unit
* Unit staffing includes 1 clinical nurse coordinator, 7 nurses, 4 PCTs, and 1 UC per shift
* Documentation system: Meditech
* Perform procedures including EKGs, glucometer checks, and venipuncture
* Work with standard medical equipment for a med-surg unit
* Minimum 1+ year of med-surg experience required
* Required certification: BLS
* Current Georgia RN license required
* Dress code: Royal blue top and bottom

This 354-bed facility is located near the Georgia-South Carolina border and is well known for housing the largest burn center in the country, seeing more than 3,000 patients annually. The facility also features a Human Motion Institute, a Digestive Disease Center, a Pelvic Health Institute, and a Stroke Center, as well as an emergency room recognized for having the shortest wait times in the area. Staff members praise the facility's culture and the strong managerial support they receive.
