Job Details:

* Day shift position working 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM on a 13-week contract
* On-call required after shift hours Friday through Sunday during scheduled weeks
* Must take call at least two days per week and 1-2 weekends every 6-week schedule depending on need
* Overtime days required each week
* Minimum of 5 weekend shifts per contract
* Floating required per facility policy - may float to Main OR if CVOR volume is low, and to other units/campuses based on census, only to units qualified and trained in
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Minimum 2 years of experience required with Level 1 Trauma experience
* Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel pairs and trios are welcome
* Must have CST certification through NBSTSA - pending certification not accepted
* Required certifications: BLS, CST through NBSTSA
* CVOR experience required including First Assist roles
* Required clinical skills include: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atherectomy, ASD repair, Cardiomyoplasty, CABG, ECMO, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, and VAD management
* Average of 3 hearts per day
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* All time-off requests must be included with submission and will only be accommodated if approved by the facility at the time of booking

This facility is an 864-bed acute care teaching hospital and serves as the region's premier referral center. It holds designations as a Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and maintains Magnet status for nursing excellence. The hospital is home to the region's only solid organ transplant center and supports advanced cardiovascular surgical procedures through its CVOR department.
