Opportunity:
RN - Outpatient Oncology
Job Details:
* 8-hour day shifts
* Ambulatory RN Float Pool assignment supporting adult solid tumor Medical Oncology and Surgical Oncology practices
* Ability to float to other facilities within 75+ mile radius based on operational needs
* Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
* Minimum 2 years of Oncology experience in Medical Oncology or Surgical Oncology required
* Minimum 1 year of ambulatory experience required
* Minimum 1 year of travel experience required
* Teaching hospital experience required
* BSN required
* California RN license required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Experience with telephone triage and symptom assessment required
* Treat adult and geriatric patients with solid tumors across multiple oncology specialties including breast, GI, GU, thoracic, head & neck, endocrine, melanoma/skin, and other cancers
* Perform patient assessment and triage, symptom and treatment-toxicity assessment, care coordination, patient education, medication review, telephone/MyChart triage, and coordination of diagnostic testing and treatment plans
* Surgical Oncology assignments may include pre/post-operative education, wound assessment, drain care, and other clinic-based care
* Work with standard ambulatory clinic and exam-room equipment including vital-sign equipment, scales, computers/workstations, and general assessment supplies
* May encounter wound-care and drain-care supplies and other specialty-specific equipment depending on assigned practice
* Work collaboratively with physicians, APPs, RNs, and interdisciplinary teams including interpretation services, social services, and rapid response teams
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), California RN License
* Preferred certifications: ACLS, Chemo (ONS/ONCC), OCN, ONS/ONCC, BMT
