Opportunity:

RN - ICU Float Pool

Job Details:

* Night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with 36 or 48 hours per week available
* Float pool position rotating between ICU, MS/Tele/PCU, Overflow PACU, and Stepdown units
* Weekend shifts required - minimum 6 weekend shifts every 6-week period
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated; traveler must be flexible
* No RTO within the first 2 weeks of the assignment; maximum 2 weeks RTO total
* Self-scheduling environment
* 2 years of ICU experience required; first-time travelers accepted with minimum 2 years ICU experience from a 400-bed or larger facility
* Travel experience required
* California RN license required - must be active and permanent at time of submission; no pending or temporary licenses accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; CCRN preferred
* Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz experience is a hard requirement - must have performed within the last 6 months and score 3-4 on additional skills checklist
* EKG exam administered on first day of orientation - must pass to proceed with contract
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Additional required skills include: arterial line management, ventilator management, central line care/management, BiPAP/CPAP management, continuous IV sedation, continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs, phlebotomy, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), emergency medications, and isolation precautions/PPE
* Preferred skills and experience: CRRT, EVD experience, transplant experience, and strong cardiac, neuro, and trauma background
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics across a 24-bed adult ICU
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, physical therapy, radiology, and social services
* 2 supervisory references from within the past year of employment required at time of submission
* Flu vaccination required - no exemptions
