Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Emergency Room
* Option to work 36 or 48 hours per week
* 2 weekend shifts required per contract
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 1+ years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Epic charting experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC - must be in hand at time of submission
* Must be comfortable with a wide range of emergency care skills including triage, intubation, arterial line management, chest tube insertion and management, central line care and management, BiPAP/CPAP management, procedural sedation, and blood product administration
* Must be able to manage patients with conditions including DKA, CHF, STEMI, stroke, shortness of air, and psychiatric holds
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
* May be required to float to like units within scope based on facility needs
* Valid KS or Compact RN license required at time of submission
* 50-mile local radius enforced; locals not accepted

Facility:

This emergency department operates a 22-bed unit with a daily census of approximately 100 patients and 100 visits per day. The facility is both STEMI and Stroke certified and supports a broad range of emergency procedures including intubation, central lines, arterial lines, and chest tubes. Comprehensive interdisciplinary support services are available on-site, ensuring collaborative and high-quality patient care across a wide range of emergency conditions.
