ICU Nights
Job Details:
* Night shift position in the Intensive Care Unit
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week with 48 hours at straight time allowed
* 1.5+ years of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
* Patient ratio of 1:2 maintained during days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts required per schedule period
* May be floated to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, and CVICU with a maximum cap of 4 patients while floating
* 32-bed unit serving adult patient populations
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drain (EVD), high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, neuro intensive care, post neurosurgery management, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and suctioning
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and phlebotomy
* Pending New Mexico or compact license accepted but must be obtained prior to start
* 50-mile local radius enforced; local candidates not accepted

This facility is a well-equipped intensive care unit with 32 beds dedicated to providing comprehensive critical care to adult patients. The unit offers robust interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and interpretation services. The facility maintains a strong commitment to patient safety and quality care through consistent staffing ratios and a collaborative care model.
