Opportunity:
OT - Hand Therapy
Job Details:
* 8-hour day shifts
* See approximately 12 patients per day
* Work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
* Treat patients with diagnoses including post-op orthopedic aftercare, acute fractures of hand/wrist/elbow, mallet finger, flexor and extensor tendon injuries, brachial plexus injuries, peripheral nerve injuries, CMC arthritis, cubital/carpal/radial tunnel syndrome, and degloving injuries
* Perform custom orthosis fabrication for post-op hand, upper extremity, acute fractures, and post-ORIF cases
* Administer therapeutic exercise programs and manual therapy
* Apply modalities including ultrasound, TENS, and biofeedback
* Utilize adaptive equipment assessment and edema massage techniques
* Perform kinesiotaping, myofascial release, paraffin bath, and electrical stimulation treatments
* Chart using Epic (required)
* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* Hand clinic and adult outpatient experience preferred
* Required certification: AHA BLS, California OT License
* Preferred certifications: CHT (Certified Hand Therapist), AOTA Hand/Upper Extremity Certification
* Master's degree (MS/MA) preferred
* Teaching hospital experience required
* May float to Mission Bay, Mount Zion, or Bayfront facilities
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal

The hand therapy clinic supports a wide range of complex orthopedic and neurological conditions, offering an interdisciplinary environment with interpretation services available. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and maintains high standards of patient care with access to advanced equipment for custom orthosis fabrication and therapeutic modalities.
