Opportunity:
Medical Assistant - OBGYN Outpatient Clinic
Job Details:
* Minimum 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting required
* OBGYN experience required
* Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP accredited program required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC only), CMA
* High school diploma or GED required
* Proficiency with fetal heart tones, blood/lab draws, and venipuncture required
* Epic charting system experience required
* No weekend shifts required
* No floating required
* Maximum 7 days of requested time off; no RTO within the first 2 weeks of assignment
* Serve patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics (all women over 12)
* Skills required include: rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, immunizations, pap smears, biopsies, urine dipstick/urinalysis, urine UA/clean catch, intramuscular injections, capillary blood glucose via glucometer, labeling of specimens, telephone triage, follow-up phone calls, pharmacy calls/patient refill requests, record history/medications/allergies, pulse oximetry, external fetal monitor/NST, and pregnancy-related care
* 2 supervisor references from within the past 1 year of employment required at time of submission
