Opportunity:

Sterile Processing Technician - Main OR

Job Details:

* Work in the Main OR sterile processing department of an acute care hospital
* Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required
* Travel experience required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Floating required to sister ASC surgery center facility
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks (guaranteed hours policy)
* Daily census of 30 cases with 12 operating rooms
* Patient ratio of 20 during days and 3 during nights
* Adults patient population
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrubs provided for OR/sterile processing staff
* Compact state license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS, IAHCSMM/HSPA (National HSPA certification required)
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* All RTO requests must be submitted at time of submission
* Skills required include but are not limited to: high-level disinfection, scope/probe reprocessing, sterile processing, steam sterilization, robotics, orthopedics, laparoscopic procedures, sets/tray assembly, manual cleaning, and use of washers/sterilizers

Facility:

This acute care hospital features 266 staffed beds and operates a 12-room main operating room suite with a daily census of approximately 30 surgical cases. The facility utilizes Epic for electronic charting and supports a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, neurology, OB/GYN, urology, vascular, robotics, and more. The organization maintains high standards for sterile processing and patient care, with access to sister facilities for additional support.
