Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

* 36-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5
* 4 weekend shifts required in a 4-week block
* Floating policy requires floating over core staff
* Perform basic patient assessments and general care including wound care, tracheostomy, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, strokes, and seizures
* Experience with dialysis, PCA pumps, and Heparin drip required
* Post-op procedures on unit include amputations, ostomy, drains, chest tubes, oral surgeries, and wound vacs
* Equipment includes PD Cyclers, Welch Allyn VS Carts, Hoyer Lift, Broda Chairs, and Alaris IV Pumps
* Documentation system: Meditech
* Unit staffing includes secretary every day and PRN techs
* Bedside shift report required with safety checks every 1-2 hours, with focus on communication and responsiveness
* HAI prevention including CVC and Foley monitoring with standard precautions
* Fall prevention protocols required
* 100% medication scanning required including controlled substances
* Dress code: Scrubs in Navy, Blue, White, Black, Gray, or Ceil Blue
* Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
