Opportunity:
OT - Occupational Therapist
Job Details:
* Evaluate and treat patients for Activities of Daily Living (ADL), range of motion (ROM), strength, and functional capabilities
* Develop and implement written occupational therapy plans of care under physician referral
* Provide direct patient treatment for both inpatients and outpatients
* Perform diagnostic assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
* Deliver group therapy, recreational programs, vocational therapy, creative arts, essential life skills training, massage therapy, gait training, and muscle retraining
* Design, fabricate, and fit orthotics and self-help devices as needed
* Collaborate with nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated comprehensive care programs
* Maintain accurate and thorough treatment records and documentation of all services rendered
* Serve as activities consultant for long-term care and hospital settings
* Instruct patients, residents, and staff on occupational therapy recommendations
* Coordinate discharge follow-up with community agencies as needed
* Apply principles of pain management and age-specific care to support individual patient needs
* Supervise use, maintenance, and care of tools and equipment within the department
* Participate in staff education, in-service training, and professional development activities
* Contribute to departmental budgeting, policy development, and operational planning
* Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality standards
* Must obtain Hawaii PT license prior to start
