Opportunity:
PTA - Physical Therapy Assistant
Job Details:
* Day shift schedule
* Perform physical therapy treatments including modalities, manual techniques, and common exercise techniques
* Instruct and guide patients through functional activities such as bed mobility, transfers, gait, and balance activities
* Observe and follow treatment precautions as identified by physical therapists, nurses, or physicians
* Monitor and report changes in patient responses to nurses and physical therapists
* Provide daily and timely patient chart documentation of interventions and services in the acute care setting
* Document employee and outpatient treatments as necessary
* Provide education and training to patients and caregivers while incorporating learning style preferences
* Work under minimal supervision with potential to mentor and train staff on technical skills
* Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required
* Two years of physical therapy or technical experience preferred
* Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in the state of practice required
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor required
