Open Position: RN - Endoscopy

Job Details:

* Work shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
* Minimum of 1 year of endoscopy experience required
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
* Minimum of 4 on-call shifts required per month
* Expected to work holidays based on how many fall during the assignment
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* 3 days of orientation provided
* Circulate role in inpatient endoscopy setting
* Perform and assist with procedures including bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, EBUS, EUS, ERCP, and esophageal varices and banding
* Patient care responsibilities include starting and maintaining IVs, specimen handling and labeling, post-procedure care, airway management, and recovering patients from conscious sedation and monitored anesthesia care
* Equipment used includes bronchoscopy cart and supplies, dilators, disposable grounding pads, electrosurgical units, ERBE portable electrical coagulation instrument, forceps, foreign body equipment, and polyp snares
* Treat patients of all ages including adults and pediatrics across 3 procedure rooms
* Charting system: Provation
* Floating assigned in rotation with facility staff per hospital policy and Joint Commission standards
* Hospital-provided scrubs
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Active NJ or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
* All RTO, block, and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of submission

This facility is a 361-bed independent, acute care hospital with a dedicated endoscopy department that performs advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The endoscopy department utilizes cutting-edge technology including SpyGlass and endoscopic ultrasound to deliver both routine and complex gastrointestinal care. The department is equipped to handle a wide range of procedures and serves a diverse patient population including adults and pediatrics.
