Opportunity:

RN - Ambulatory Treatment Center / Infusion Center

Job Details:

* Work 8-hour day shifts in an outpatient Ambulatory Treatment Center/Infusion Center setting
* One weekend day required per 4-week schedule
* No on-call or standby requirement at this time
* Unit consists of 13 infusion chairs with a limit of 4 active infusions at a time
* Administer chemotherapy to oncology patients including complex regimens such as Cisplatin, FOLFOX, and FOLFIRI
* Manage hypersensitivity reactions frequently
* Care for community patients requiring iron, reclast, albumin, blood transfusions, hydration, prolia injections, rabies series, and short/long-term antibiotics
* Titrate drips including IVIG, rituximab, remicade, IV Darzalex, ocrevus, and blood transfusions
* Maintain strong vascular access skills including peripheral IVs, port access, and Hickman/PICC maintenance
* Float to inpatient units to provide inpatient chemotherapy as needed - travelers are first to be adjusted for scheduling changes
* Charge RN takes an assignment; hospital operates under a house supervisor from shift to shift
* No telemetry or monitor tech responsibilities on this unit
* Document using Cerner charting system
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
* Required certifications: BLS, ONS/ONCC certification
* California RN license required
* BSN not required
* 2 supervisory references (at least one Charge RN) within the last 12 months required at time of submittal
