Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* 3x12 hour night shifts
* Weekend coverage required with 2 weekend shifts per pay period, flexible with department needs
* Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience preferred
* Must be located outside a 50-mile radius of facility
* Required certification: BLS
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Common patient diagnoses include sepsis, CIWA, confusion/AMS, COPD, post-op care, AKI, trauma, respiratory failure, bowel obstruction, pyelonephritis, cardiac conditions, diabetes, GI conditions, isolation, and SI with medical indications
* Required skills include accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, heparin and insulin administration, high flow nasal cannula, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Ability to float to other units as long as competencies are met
* Must be able to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
* Must demonstrate strong organizational skills, prioritization, and workload management
* Must be able to work in a busy, stressful environment while maintaining professionalism
* Trauma Level II experience preferred

This facility is a 48-bed unit offering comprehensive medical-surgical care supported by an interdisciplinary team that includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. The unit is equipped to handle a wide variety of complex patient diagnoses and is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across adult and geriatric populations.
