Cath Lab Tech/ EP Tech
Job Details:
* Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
* Must be proficient in both cardiovascular (CV) and electrophysiology (EP) procedures including scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating
* Required procedures include: coronary angiograms with complex intervention, CTO, Shockwave, Rotablator, CSI, hemodynamic monitoring, right heart caths, Impella, IABP, ECMO, pacemaker implants, ablations, complex ablations, and mapping systems including Affera, Carto, and EnSite
* Weekend on-call rotation required: 3-4 weekends per 13-week contract
* Weekday on-call rotation required: 1-2 nights per week
* On-call hours do not count towards guaranteed minimum hours
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* No floating within scope or to sister facilities required
* Block scheduling not available
* Requested time off ideally no more than 5 days
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Unit operates 7 rooms with a daily census of 16-24 patients
* Scrubs are provided by the unit
* Charting system: Epic (Excellian)
* Preferred equipment experience: Philips X-ray and Siemens X-ray
* Required certifications: ACLS, ARRT R, BLS, CCI RCES, CCI RCIS
* Required skills include: accurate monitoring, angioplasty, arrhythmia induction, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardiac stent placement, circulating procedures, diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab, ECMO, electrophysiology lab, hemodynamic monitoring, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, interpretation of dysrhythmias, pacemaker insertion, percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), rotablator atherectomy, scrubbing and sterile field maintenance, and vascular closure systems
Facility:
This acute care teaching hospital is a Level 3 trauma facility with 317 staffed beds. The facility offers a comprehensive cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab environment with 7 procedure rooms serving a daily census of 16-24 patients. The unit is equipped with advanced imaging technology and supports a wide range of complex cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures, providing an dynamic and high-acuity clinical setting for experienced cath lab and EP professionals.
