Job Details:

* Day shift position with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* First time travelers welcome
* 3 years of experience preferred; minimum 2 years of experience required
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* 4-6 weekend shifts required per 6-week period
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Patient age groups include neonates and adults
* 15-room/15-bed unit
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications accepted)
* Required skills include: antepartum care, anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, assisting with high-risk and vaginal deliveries, circulating for C-sections, recovering C-section patients, insulin drips, isolation precautions/PPE, maintaining central lines (CVC/PICC), sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, and use of external fetal heart monitoring
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* May be expected to float to like units within scope based on facility needs

This healthcare facility operates a dedicated Labor & Delivery unit with 15 beds and rooms, supporting a birth volume of 100-200 per month. The unit is well-supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team and offers a collaborative care environment for both patients and clinical staff. The facility provides scrubs and has robust ancillary services available to support nursing staff in delivering high-quality maternal and neonatal care.
