Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
* Scheduled every other weekend and holidays in rotation
* Patient ratio of 1:6 on a 29-bed telemetry unit
* Care for telemetry and post cardiac procedure patients including PCI, PPM, ICD, and ablations
* Proficient reading of telemetry strips required
* Manage cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amio, Nitro, and Dobutamine
* Perform phlebotomy and administer breathing treatments including inhalers and nebulizers
* Provide Foley catheter care and maintenance with nurse-driven protocols for removal
* Complete time management including plans of care every shift, collaboration with physicians and ancillary departments, discharge planning, and patient education
* Conduct bedside shift report, AIDET, and RN/MD rounding for patient experience
* Use equipment including i-mobile phones, mobile computer workstations on wheels, mobilab for lab draws, and Alaris IV pumps
* Document using Meditech system
* Travelers are first to float, with potential assignments to the emergency department for inpatient holds, telemetry monitoring room, or PCU
* Required dress code: Navy uniform
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale certification
* Minimum 30 months of RN or LPN nursing experience required
* One previous successful travel nursing assignment required
