Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

* 13-week assignment on a Medical Surgical unit
* 4 weekend shifts per month required
* Unit has 26 beds with a 6:1 patient ratio
* Technicians available on unit to support nursing staff
* Required equipment includes Hoyer lift, rolling computers, and rolling vital sign machines
* Documentation system: Meditech
* May float to Surgical or Acute Rehab units
* Advanced skills required: NG/NJ tubes, chest tubes, and heparin drip management
* Procedures performed on unit include heart procedures from cath lab with patients returning to unit for recovery
* Proficiency in medication administration and controlled substance knowledge required
* Strong understanding of patient care basics and normal limits for vital signs and labs required
* Med/surg experience preferred
* RN license required, BSN preferred
* Required certification: BLS
* Required dress code: Navy blue scrub tops and bottoms
