Opportunity:

RRT - Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

* Work night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:00 AM
* Full-time position
* Must be able to work in PICU, NICU, and Pediatric ER
* Provide pulmonary care for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician direction with minimal supervision
* Perform patient assessments and institute respiratory care plans
* Perform technical and diagnostic respiratory therapy procedures throughout all areas of the hospital
* Respond to emergency situations including Code Blue and Code White
* Perform airway management including nasotracheal and endotracheal suctioning
* Deliver aerosolized drugs and manage ventilator setup and operation
* Manage airway support devices including BiPAP and CPAP devices
* Operate oxygen delivery devices and perform therapeutic monitoring
* Perform chest film analysis, blood gas collection and analysis, and EKG analysis
* Maintain accurate and complete documentation
* Clean and stock equipment and supplies as necessary
* Participate in CAP and Joint Commission surveys
* RRTs may function as Shift Leader or Team Leader
* Advanced practice skills may include therapeutic gas management, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, hemodynamic monitoring, waveform analysis, nocturnal SpO2 evaluation, polysomnography, and transport duties
* 1-3 years of experience preferred
* Texas RT or RCP license required
* Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification by NBRC required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA only), ACLS (AHA only), PALS (AHA only), NRP
