Job Details:
* Primarily 10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM), with 8-hour PM shifts (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) approximately one week every 5 weeks
* Night shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) possible with experience at the facility
* 8-hour or 10-hour shifts available; 12-hour shifts available in certain cases on subsequent contracts only
* No blocked scheduling
* Weeknight call requirement: 1-2 nights per week (Monday through Thursday) from end of shift to 7:00 AM; call response time of 30 minutes for Call Team 1 and 45 minutes for Call Teams 2 through 4
* Weekend call requirement: 1 weekend approximately every 5-6 weekends (Friday after shift through Monday morning at 7:00 AM), in addition to weekly night call
* Holiday call requirement: At least 1 holiday per year
* Must be able to circulate General, GYN, Urology, and Peripheral Vascular cases including bowel resections, laparoscopic cases, daVinci Xi cases, open and scope urology, bariatrics, open and vaginal GYN, C-sections, lap appy, and lap chole
* Must be able to circulate orthopedic cases including total joints with or without MAKO robot (knees, hips, shoulders, ankles), arthroscopy, and ortho trauma
* Must be able to circulate Neuro, ENT, Oral, and Plastics cases including trach, T&A, BMT, FESS, spine fusions, laminectomy, craniotomy, facial fractures, laryngoscopy, bronchoscopy, and neck dissections
* Facility operates 16 OR suites with an average of 28 cases per day
* Staffed 24/7/365 with a minimum of one RN and one Surgical Tech; charge RN always present in the OR
* OR Techs available; scrubbing not required for RNs
* Floating to the Outpatient Surgery Center across campus may be required
* Must clock in and out at the facility
* Charting system: Cerner
* Scrub color: Navy blue, provided via Cintas vending at no cost
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA)
* BSN not required

This acute care facility operates at Trauma Level 2 and features a robust surgical services department with 16 operating suites running an average of 28 cases per day. The department is organized into four specialized surgical groupings including Orthopedics, Neuro/ENT/Oral/Plastics, Cardiovascular-Thoracic, and General/GYN/Urology/Peripheral Vascular. The facility maintains 24/7/365 staffing coverage and utilizes Cerner as its electronic medical records system, with an affiliated Outpatient Surgery Center located on campus.
