Opportunity:
RN - ICU
Job Details:
* Work in a 20-bed mixed medical and surgical intensive care unit
* Variable patient ratios based on acuity: ECMO 2:1, post open heart surgery 1:1, critical ICU/devices 1:1, typical ICU assignment 1:2, stepdown assigned 1:3-4
* Day and night shifts staffed with 1 charge nurse, 8-10 RNs, 1-3 LNAs, and sitter PRN
* Work every third weekend with no on-call responsibilities
* Must have telemetry experience; PCU or greater preferred
* Prior ICU experience and experience with critical drips and ventilators preferred
* Perform procedures including pericardiocentesis with drains, thoracentesis, central line insertion, arterial line insertion, chest tube insertion, intubation, TEE cardioversion, TTE, and transvenous pacing wire insertion
* Operate equipment including IV pumps, telemetry monitors, hoyer/stand lifts, Impella, IABP, CRRT (NxStage), bladder scanner, Bair hugger, rapid transfuser, Blanketrol, chest tubes, vein finder, Sorin retransfuser, ventilator, high flow nasal cannula, and BiPAP/CPAP
* Use Sunrise EMR system
* Float to Progressive Care unit as needed
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Must have license in hand prior to submission
* Ideal candidate is organized but easily adaptable
