Open Position: RN - PACU

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2934.60

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

* 8-hour day shifts with variable start times
* Ability to float to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius
* Patient ratios: 2:1 days, 3:1 nights, 2:1 weekends
* Daily census of approximately 50 patients
* Outpatient surgery center setting performing most same-day procedures with the exception of orthopedic and cardiac
* Serve adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
* 5 years of nursing experience required with minimum 3 years of PACU experience
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Travel experience required
* Strong knowledge of airway management, anesthesia recovery, and pain management required
* Must be able to work in pre-op and extended care units
* 2 years of critical care experience preferred
* Required certifications: CA RN License, BSN, AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
* CCRN or CPAN certification preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Key skills include: Phase I PACU, Phase II Recovery, pre/post-operative care, arterial line management, central line care, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG/ECG, straight urinary catheterization, and starting and maintaining IVs
* Additional procedural skills include: accessing/managing ports, endo/laparoscopic procedures, ENT, ophthalmology, robotics, and general surgical cases
* Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services and pharmacy
* Standard hospital equipment utilized
* 2 references from most recent employer required at time of submittal

The facility supports a high daily census and provides interdisciplinary resources including pharmacy and interpretation services.
