Job Details:

* Work in a 38-bed emergency department including trauma bays, burn room, psych room, and vertical treatment area
* Utilize standard emergency and trauma equipment throughout shifts
* Document patient care using Meditech EMR system
* Work alongside RNs, advanced paramedics, EMTs, and unit secretaries
* Patient ratios vary depending on acuity and volume
* Perform procedures related to certified chest pain, comprehensive stroke, Level 1 trauma, and accredited burn cases
* Self-scheduling available
* 4 weekend shifts required per month
* No floating required; however, may cross-train for sister facility
* Wear royal blue scrubs, branded preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS
* SAMA, CPI, or equivalent required (30-day grace period available if not currently held)
* ENPC certification preferred
* Texas RN licensure or compact license eligibility required

The department holds certifications in chest pain, comprehensive stroke, Level 1 trauma, and burn care, reflecting its commitment to delivering advanced emergency services. The unit maintains a flexible staffing model with a free charge nurse always present and fosters a patient-first culture with a positive, team-oriented environment.
