Job Details:
* Work 10-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM
* 40 hours guaranteed per week plus call
* 4 weekend shifts total required per contract (two separate weekends)
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Must be comfortable working with patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Float to like units within scope as needed based on facility needs
* Procedures include: lobe/lung resection, thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic assisted procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, fracture reductions, laminectomy/discectomy, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and transurethral resection of the prostate
* Specialty areas include: Breast/Plastics, GYN, Eyes, Robotics, General, Neuro/Spine, Ortho, Pulmonary, and Urology
* Special equipment includes: Stealth, O-arm, ION, Hana table, Jackson table, and DV5 robot
* Skills required include: cell saver, administration of blood and blood products, infection control, laser safety, radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out) procedure, and wound management
* Charting system experience with any system accepted
* No pre-approved time off available

This facility is a well-equipped surgical center supporting a daily census of 50 patients across 19 operating rooms. The unit benefits from robust interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary services. The facility offers a comprehensive surgical environment handling a wide range of specialty procedures with advanced equipment and technology.
