Job Details:
* 12-hour night shifts
* Ability to float to any UCSF campus facility
* Patient ratio of 4 patients per nurse for days, nights, and weekends
* Daily census of 60 with 15 rooms and 17 beds available
* Treat patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
* 2 years of emergency department experience required
* Pediatric emergency department experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Travel experience required with prior travel within 12 months
* BSN required
* Prior teaching hospital experience preferred
* Community hospital experience required
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: CA RN License, AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Preferred certifications: CPI, NRP, OCN, SANE, TNCC
* Required skills include: abdominal pain management, acute psychosis, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care, chest tube management, continuous IV paralytics and sedation, CVA management, drug overdose, emergency medications, intubation, IV vasopressors, management of dysrhythmias, multisystem organ dysfunction, pediatric emergency care, procedural sedation, psychiatric holds, triage, traumatic brain injury, and more

This facility is a well-established academic medical center and teaching hospital offering a comprehensive emergency department that serves combined adult and pediatric populations. The emergency department is a Level II Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke certification, supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services.
