Job Details:
* 3x12 evening shift schedule
* At least 1 year of OR RN experience required
* Scrub experience required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Community hospital experience required
* Trauma Level II experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required skills include: lobe resection, lung resection/thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, laparoscopic assisted procedures, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, fracture reduction, laminectomy/discectomy, spinal fusion, total joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy, and transurethral resection of the prostate
* Pediatric OR experience required including trauma, amputations, myringotomy, tonsillectomy/adenoids, and orthopedic procedures
* Scrub experience required across multiple specialties including thoracic, ENT, general, arthroscopic, orthopedic, urology, and trauma surgery
* Proficiency in fire safety, laser safety, radiation safety, infection control, cell saver, blood product administration, specimen handling, universal protocol, and wound management
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years
* Pre-approved time off: one request permitted
* Orientation hours: 40

This short-term acute care facility is a 325-bed hospital offering a wide range of surgical and medical services. The facility utilizes Epic as its charting system and supports a high-volume operating room environment across multiple surgical specialties including orthopedic, thoracic, urology, trauma, and pediatric surgery. The organization maintains high standards for patient care and expects all contracted staff to uphold those standards throughout their assignment.
