RN - ER

Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Emergency Room
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Overtime begins at the 49th hour for 48-hour schedule
* At least 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
* Patient ratio of 5:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* 40-bed unit with a daily census of 90
* Serves patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* First-time travelers welcome
* Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
* Preferred certifications: CPI, TNCC
* Required skills include arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Travelers may be expected to float to like units within their scope based on facility needs

The unit operates with robust interdisciplinary support and is equipped to handle high-acuity cases including trauma, stroke, and cardiac events. The facility is associated with a heart hospital and maintains a high daily census, reflecting its significant role in serving the regional community.
