Job Details:

* Night shift coverage preferred; straight days not accepted
* Weekend coverage required with 4 weekend shifts per contract
* Patient ratio of 6 patients per nurse on days, nights, and weekends
* 1 year of minimum nursing experience required
* Cerner charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* BLS (AHA) certification required
* Active PA or Compact license required
* Care for patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* 27 rooms and 34 beds on unit
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, bariatric surgery, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, continuous bladder irrigation, feeding tube care, heparin administration, insulin management, IV management, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and more
* Post-operative care for joint replacement, weight loss management surgery, and general surgery patients
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
* Must be available to work every other holiday
