Opportunity:

Registered Dietitian - Inpatient/Outpatient

Job Details:

* 13-week contract position
* Schedule is 5x8-hour shifts per week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
* 1 year of experience required
* BLS certification required
* CDR - RD/RDN license required
* Missouri Licensed Dietician State License required (pending license accepted but must be obtained prior to start date)
* Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
* Primary focus is inpatient care with majority adult patients, including geriatric and pediatric populations
* Also provides outpatient consultations across all age ranges, typically adult
* Skills required include nutrition assessments and reassessments, dysphagia management, TPN, fluid and electrolyte management, and protein calorie malnutrition
* Additional clinical skills include working with adolescent, pediatric, and older adult populations as well as managing patients on insulin, steroids, immunosuppressants, diuretics, and laxatives
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
* 36 orientation hours provided
* Time off requests should be kept to a minimum with no full calendar week off preferred; any RTO must be approved prior to start
* May be required to float to another department as Helping Hands or take a patient assignment within established scope and competency

This facility is an inpatient-focused healthcare organization with 114 beds and a daily census of approximately 55 patients. The facility serves a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and pediatrics, offering a comprehensive range of interdisciplinary support services. The organization provides a collaborative care environment with access to physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, and rapid response teams.
