Opportunity:
OT - Occupational Therapist
Job Details:
* Work Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour lunch break
* Work one weekend day per month
* Must have reliable personal transportation as Uber and Lyft services are not available in the area
* 1-2 years of experience in a rural health setting preferred; new graduates will be considered
* Must be licensed with the State of Nebraska as an Occupational Therapist
* Must be PAM (Physical Agent Modalities) certified, including Electrotherapeutic Agents, Deep Thermal Agents, and Superficial Thermal Agents
* Active BLS certification issued through American Heart Association required
* Evaluate, plan, coordinate, administer, and supervise occupational therapy treatments to restore functional abilities, relieve pain, and prevent or minimize disability
* Perform age-specific patient care through evaluation, assessment, treatment planning, and execution of occupational therapy services
* Provide OT services including therapeutic exercise, splinting, modalities, and self-care training using client-centered and evidence-based practice
* Competent in treating patients of all age groups
* Complete all patient care documentation including charges, evaluations, daily notes, re-evaluations, and other required paperwork per hospital policy
* Provide education to and communicate with patients, families, and other members of the care team
* Collaborate with physical therapy, speech therapy, nursing, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
* Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and OT students per professional practice act and Medicare guidelines
* Participate in departmental quality assurance projects, chart reviews, and policy and procedure reviews
* Assist in maintaining a safe, efficient, and orderly work environment
* Provide supervision of Swing Bed activities
* Attend over 80% of Rehab department meetings
