Job Details:
* Evening shift position from 11:00 AM to 9:30 PM
* On-call required: Weekday standby shifts of 16 hours every 4 weeks (blocks of 4-hour or 8-hour shifts); weekend standby shifts of 24 hours every 4 weeks (12-hour standby shifts x2)
* Weekend shifts required in lieu of weekday shifts based on department needs
* 1:1 patient ratio
* No floating between units
* 48-hour shifts not approved
* Daily census of 60 patients; 21 operating rooms
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Adult Acute Care Operating Room with all adult specialties, with a focus on advanced oncology surgical cases
* Specialties include Bariatrics, Ortho, Podiatry, Neuro, ENT, OMFS, GYN, General, Colorectal, Urology, Hepatobiliary, Plastics, Eye, Vascular, Thoracic, Organ Harvest, and Endovascular
* Adult surgical specialties not performed: Open Heart and Organ Transplant
* Must be certified as a surgical technologist or military trained
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; travel experience required
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, NBSTSA, ASATT
* Must have broad knowledge of surgical equipment including Intuitive Surgical Systems XI and SI
* Experience with Da Vinci Robotics and Da Vinci Xi Surgical System required
* Proficiency with a wide range of surgical procedures required including but not limited to: craniotomy, spinal fusion, laparoscopic procedures, vascular procedures, gynecologic robotic surgery, orthopedic procedures, and endovascular procedures
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrub color: Any color; OR/L&D scrubs provided
* No parking fee
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All requested time off must be submitted upfront during application; post-offer RTO may not be considered
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, to be provided during compliance process and prior to start

This short-term acute care facility operates 418 staffed beds and features a 21-room Adult Acute Care Operating Room with comprehensive adult surgical specialties. The facility is equipped with advanced technology including Intuitive Surgical Systems and supports a broad range of complex surgical procedures with a particular focus on advanced oncology surgical cases.
