Opportunity:

Registered Dietitian

Job Details:

* 5x8 shift schedule, Monday through Friday with 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM start times
* No weekend or holiday shifts required
* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian required
* Active RD/RDN certification required - pending licensure not accepted
* Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Experience with healthcare food and nutrition service operations or comparable experience required
* Proficiency with Epic charting system required
* Experience with Computrition application preferred
* Computer proficiency required including working knowledge of Windows, Excel, and PowerPoint
* Perform nutrition assessments and reassessments for adult patient population
* Provide direct patient care including calorie counts, enteral nutrition (tube feedings), and total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
* Complete nutrition focused physical exams (NFPE) and develop plans of treatment
* Manage therapeutic diet orders and address protein calorie malnutrition
* Coordinate plan of care and provide patient education within scope of practice
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated and no time off requests within first 2 weeks of assignment
* Must be able to stand and walk for the greater portion of the assigned shift
* Flu vaccination required - no exemptions

Facility:

This large acute care facility operates with a daily census of approximately 980 patients and supports a high volume of nutrition-related visits per day. The organization provides inpatient acute care services and fosters an interdisciplinary approach to patient care, emphasizing collaboration between dietitians, clinical staff, and support personnel. The facility utilizes Epic and Computrition applications to support clinical operations and is committed to delivering culturally sensitive, patient-centered care across all departments.
