Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Details:

* Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* Call requirements to be discussed during interview
* May be required to float to other areas of the organization up to competency level
* Required to pick up one additional shift during each 4-week schedule period
* May be required to work major holidays
* Facility reserves the right to call off shifts without penalty for low census - up to 48 hours per 13-week contract, which may include full or partial shifts
* Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
* Prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment required
* Nevada RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC or PALS
* Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients including their families and caregivers
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care utilizing the nursing process
* Coordinate care between other healthcare professionals as needed
* Work in an extremely busy and fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius

Facility:

This facility is a large 800 inpatient bed hospital and serves as the region's only Level II Trauma Center, treating over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually across a 500-mile radius. The facility operates 80 ER beds and maintains a volume and pace comparable to a Level I trauma center. It is home to the region's only children's hospital and features a leading robotic surgery institute, comprehensive heart and cancer services, and groundbreaking brain and nerve care. The facility has pioneered numerous medical advancements in the region, including the first accredited heart failure center, the first Institute for Neurosciences, and state-of-the-art technologies including Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, PET/CT scanner, Biplane Angiography, and 3T MRI imaging.
